The Spanish summer camps language program
is divided into two sessions: The first session is the practical - and theoretical Spanish course in the classroom. The complete Spanish camp is actually based on practical application. Students attend this part of the program in the morning. In the afternoon, we focus on leisure time activities like horseback riding, whale and dolphin watching, climbing, and many other fun and adventurous activities for teenagers.
During the classroom session the teachers from Lenguaventura organize group outings to practice Spanish outside the classroom in daily situations, such as shopping at the market, buying tickets for an event or requesting information at the tourist office. This „lengua-viva“ forms part of the classroom work and focuses on the oral part of the language, which is in most cases neglected. These outdoor lessons will reinforce the teen’s confidence in their spoken skills.
We have two or four week summer camp programs that are divided into four different levels: absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced I and II. Students with previous Spanish knowledge will be given a test on the first day to determine their level. For more convenience we have a multiple choice test on-line and each future student of Lenguaventura can fill it in and e-mail it to us before their arrival.
Spanish classes are scheduled from 10.00 am to 1.30 pm with a 30 minute break between 11.30am and 12.00 pm.
On Wednesdays, we take all day for excursions.
All afternoon outdoor activities are supervised by chaperons.
The Spanish language school, Escuela Hispalense, has been teaching Spanish since 1989. Typical for their Andalusian roots, our teachers use humor and patience to instruct their pupils in Castilian Spanish (commonly simply referred to as Spanish).
We are partnered with the Girasol Adventure Company. They are specialized in diverse sporting and outdoor adventure activities around Tarifa and excursions to interesting places nearby. To reinforce the lessons learned in the classroom, students speak Spanish during these outings. Our goal is the combination of fun activities and the learning in the classroom to make the students discover the Spanish culture and encourage them to learn this foreign language.
